| Description |
I have spent the last twenty years as an artist in residence. During this time I have devised and delivered art projects to over five hundred Primary and Secondary schools and provided training covering a broad range of art techniques for both teachers and PGCE students. I have taught children of all ages and from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures and abilities. I have also worked collaboratively with lots of other artists including storytellers, animators, actors, musicians, poets and dancers. I always approach projects in an enthusiastic way and try to get all of the participants involved and engaged as quickly as possible. I set clear boundaries for their behaviour and try to incorporate as many of the children's ideas as possible. I like to create an atmosphere where children of all ages feel included and important. In this safe and positive environment they are able to use their imaginations and take risks. |
