Creative Kids was set up in 2008 to provide a range of challenging and inspired activities for children from the age of 4 -16 years. The activities are designed to deliver an imaginative and memorable program to children who, ordinarily, would not be able to afford access to the creative arts. Creative Kids is a registered charity and runs purely on a voluntary basis. The key aim over the next three years is to establish three strands of children’s activities; performance arts, arts and crafts and outdoor pursuits. Each activity strand will support Creative Kids mission of enhancing the lives and social development of children in their communities, enriching the experiences of children, stretching their potential, introducing new skills and helping to build their confidence and self esteem. The emphasis is on fun and self exploration, giving kids the opportunity to develop a greater awareness of themselves and an acceptance of others.
